Microneedling with SkinPen®

Wake up your skin’s natural ability to renew itself.

Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, uses a medical-grade device to create thousands of tiny, controlled micro-channels in the skin.
We use SkinPen®, the first microneedling device cleared by the FDA. These micro-channels are too small to see once healed, but your skin treats them as a signal to repair.

Concierge Medicine

Microneedling is a great fit if you want to improve:

Fine lines and early wrinkles

Acne scars and textural scarring

Enlarged pores

Uneven texture or dull, tired-looking skin

Mild skin laxity

It works on all skin tones, including melanin-rich skin, because it does not rely on heat or light.

Who should wait?
We’ll postpone treatment if you have an active acne breakout, cold sore, or skin infection in the area, are pregnant,
have used isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past 6 months, or have a history of keloid scarring.

Let us know about blood thinners or autoimmune conditions, and Dr. Sabrina will review your history at your consultation.

What to expect:

1.

A numbing cream is applied for comfort for about 20–30 minutes.

2.

Treatment takes about 20–30 minutes. Most patients describe a light vibrating or sandpaper-like sensation.

3.

A soothing serum or regenerative booster is applied while the micro-channels are open.

4.

Expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for 24–72 hours, sometimes with light flaking. Most patients return to normal activities the next day

Results:

Many patients notice a subtle tightening right after treatment. Collagen building continues for several months, so the best results show up over time. Dr. Sabrina will recommend a series based on your goals and the area treated, followed by periodic maintenance.

Pairs well with:

Microneedling for texture and scarring, Daxxify® for expression lines, and SKINVIVE™ for hydration and glow. xeRF also complements our metabolic and hormone programs, since skin firmness often changes alongside weight and hormone shifts.

Microneedling with SkinPen® FAQ

Does it hurt?

With numbing cream, most patients rate it as mildly uncomfortable at most.

Can I wear makeup afterward?

Wait at least 24 hours so the skin can close and heal cleanly.

How is this different from at-home rollers?

SkinPen is a medical device with precise, adjustable depth and sterile single-use tips. At-home rollers can tear the skin and raise infection risk.

XERF Skin Tightening

Firmer, smoother skin with no needles and no downtime.

XERF is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) treatment.
It delivers gentle, controlled warmth beneath the surface of the skin at more than one depth, so it can address both surface texture and deeper laxity in the same session.

Controlled heat causes existing collagen fibres to contract, giving skin a tighter feel right away.
It also signals your skin to produce new collagen over the following weeks and months.
The result is skin that looks firmer, smoother, and more lifted, without surgery.

Concierge Medicine

XERF is a good fit if you notice:

Early sagging or loss of firmness on the face, jawline, or neck

Crepey or loose skin on the arms, abdomen, knees, or above the knees

Fine lines and uneven texture

Skin changes after weight loss, pregnancy, or with aging

It’s ideal for patients who want visible improvement with no time away from work or family.

Who should wait?
XERF is not recommended if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, metal implants in the treatment area, are pregnant, or have an active skin infection in the area.

Dr. Sabrina will review your history before treatment.

What to expect:

1.

No numbing is needed. Most patients describe the treatment as a warm massage.

2.

Sessions take about 30–60 minutes depending on the area.

3.

You may see mild pinkness for a few hours. You can return to your day immediately, including makeup and exercise.

XERF Skin Tightening FAQ

Is it safe for darker skin tones?

Yes. Radiofrequency does not target pigment, which makes it a strong option for all skin tones.

When will I see results?

Some tightening right away, with the most visible changes at 2–3 months.

Is it a replacement for a facelift?

No. It’s best for mild to moderate laxity and for prevention. Dr. Sabrina will be honest about what XERF can and can’t do for you.

Chemical Peels

Reveal brighter, clearer, more even skin.

A chemical peel is a professionally applied solution that gently dissolves the bonds holding dull, damaged surface cells in place.
As those cells shed, fresh, healthier skin comes to the surface. Peels range from light “lunchtime” peels to deeper treatments, and Dr. Sabrina selects the type and strength for your skin, not from a one-size-fits-all menu.

Peels are a strong choice if your main concerns are pigment, tone, breakouts, or texture. They’re especially valuable for melanin-rich skin when chosen carefully. The right peel can treat dark marks without creating new ones, while the wrong peel can make pigment worse. That’s why your peel is chosen by a physician.

Concierge Medicine

Peels speed up your skin's natural renewal cycle. Depending on the peel, they can:

Fade dark spots, sun damage, and uneven tone

Improve melasma and post-acne marks

Clear congested pores and calm breakouts

Soften fine lines and smooth rough texture

Restore brightness to dull skin

Who should wait?
We’ll postpone your peel if you are pregnant or breastfeeding (some peels), have an active cold sore or skin infection, have used isotretinoin in the past 6 months, or have recently had a sunburn. Stop retinoids and exfoliating products a few days before your appointment, as directed.

What to expect:

1.

Your skin is cleansed and prepped.

2.

The peel is applied in layers. Most patients feel tingling or warmth for a few minutes.

3.

A calming product and sunscreen are applied before you leave.

4.

Depending on the depth, expect mild tightness and light flaking for 3–7 days. Light peels often have little to no visible peeling.

Results:

Skin looks brighter within a week. For pigment and acne, most patients benefit from a series of 3–6 peels spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Daily sunscreen is essential to protect your results, especially in Florida sun.

Pairs well with:

Microneedling (alternating treatments), and a Skinbetter Science home routine, particularly a brightening serum and daily mineral sunscreen.

Chemical Peels FAQ

Will my face peel a lot?

Most of our peels cause light flaking, not dramatic peeling. Dr. Sabrina will tell you what to expect for your specific peel.

Can I peel in the summer?

Yes, with strict daily sunscreen and sun avoidance for the first week.

I have melasma. Is a peel safe for me?

Often yes, and it can help. Melasma is also influenced by hormones, so Dr. Sabrina may look at your hormone health as part of your plan.

Regenerative Boosters:
PRP, PRF, PDGF & Exosomes

Give your skin the building blocks it needs to heal and renew.

Regenerative boosters are add-ons that support your skin’s natural repair process. They’re most often applied during microneedling, when the micro-channels allow them to reach deeper into the skin. Some come from your own body, and others are advanced topical formulas.

Concierge Medicine

What they do:

Growth factors act like messengers that tell your skin to repair, rebuild collagen, and calm inflammation. Adding a booster to your treatment can support:

Faster, more comfortable recovery with less redness

A stronger collagen response for smoother, firmer skin

Improved texture, tone, and glow

Better results on scarring and under-eye dullness

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

A concentrate of your own platelets and growth factors, separated from a small blood draw

Source:
Your own blood

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)

A next-generation PRP, spun gently with no additives. It forms a natural fibrin matrix that releases growth factors more slowly

Source:
Your own blood

PDGF

A topical serum containing platelet-derived growth factor and supporting peptides, applied topically during microneedling only

Source:
Topical serum

Exosomes

A topical serum containing tiny cell-signaling particles, applied after microneedling to soothe and support recovery

Source:
Topical serum

Who are they for?

Boosters are ideal if you want to get the most out of your microneedling series, prefer a natural approach using your body’s own resources, or tend to have more redness and sensitivity after treatments.

Who should wait?
PRP and PRF are not recommended if you have a blood or platelet disorder, active cancer or infection, are on certain blood thinners, or are pregnant. Dr. Sabrina will review your medical history and labs if needed.

What to expect:
For PRP and PRF, a small blood sample is drawn at the start of your visit and processed in our centrifuge while your skin is numbed. The concentrate is then applied during microneedling and, in some cases, injected into specific areas such as under the eyes. PDGF is used only as a topical application during microneedling, and exosomes are applied topically to the skin’s surface. Recovery is the same as microneedling, often with less redness.

Results:

Boosters enhance and help speed up your microneedling results. Most patients notice smoother, more radiant skin within a few weeks, with continued improvement over 3 months.

Pairs well with:

Microneedling with SkinPen® (most common) and a calming Epicutis home routine during recovery.

Regenerative Boosters FAQ

Which booster is right for me?

It depends on your goals, budget, and comfort with a blood draw. Dr. Sabrina will recommend one at your consultation.

Is PRP the "vampire facial"?

That nickname refers to microneedling with PRP. Our approach is physician-led and uses your own platelets prepared in-office.

Are exosomes FDA-approved?

No exosome product is FDA-approved for injection. At Zia Health, exosomes are used only as a topical application on the skin’s surface.

Anti-Wrinkle Treatment with Daxxify®

Soften expression lines and still look like you.

Daxxify® (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) is an FDA-approved neuromodulator, often called an “anti-wrinkle injection.” It belongs to the same family as Botox®, but it’s formulated differently. Daxxify is stabilized with a peptide instead of human- or animal-derived proteins, and it’s known for results that can last longer than traditional options.

Daxxify temporarily relaxes the specific muscles that create expression lines when you frown, squint, or raise your brows. When those muscles soften, the skin above them smooths out. Used early, it can also prevent lines from becoming deeply etched over time, which fits our prevention-first approach.

Concierge Medicine

Daxxify is a good fit if you notice:

Frown lines (the "11s" between the brows)

Forehead lines

Crow's feet around the eyes

Lines that are starting to stay visible even when your face is relaxed

It’s ideal for adults who want a refreshed, rested look, not a frozen one, and for those who prefer fewer appointments per year.

Who should wait?
Daxxify is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis, have an infection at the injection site, or have had an allergic reaction to a neuromodulator. Let us know about all medications, including antibiotics and blood thinners.

What to expect:

1.

Dr. Sabrina studies how your face moves and maps a plan for natural-looking results.

2.

A few quick, small injections take about 10–15 minutes. Most patients describe a brief pinch.

3.

You can return to your day right away. Avoid lying down, heavy exercise, and rubbing the area for about 4 hours.

4.

Mild redness or small bumps at injection sites usually fade within an hour. Small bruises are possible.

Results:

Many patients start to see softening within 1–2 days, with full results at about 2 weeks. In clinical studies, results commonly lasted around 6 months, and some patients saw longer. Individual results vary.

Pairs well with:

SKINVIVE™ for hydration and glow, xeRF for firmness, and microneedling or peels for texture and tone. Daxxify relaxes lines from movement, while these treatments improve the quality of the skin itself.

Anti-Wrinkle Treatment with Daxxify® FAQ

Will I look frozen?

No. Our goal is softened lines with natural movement. Dr. Sabrina takes a conservative approach and can always add more at your follow-up.

How is Daxxify different from Botox?

Both relax muscles. Daxxify uses a peptide-based formula with no human serum albumin, and studies show it can last longer for many patients.

When should I start?

Many patients start in their late 20s or 30s as a preventive step, but it’s effective at any age.

SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM®

Deep hydration for a lit-from-within glow.

SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® is an FDA-approved injectable made of microdroplets of hyaluronic acid (HA), a moisture-binding molecule your skin naturally produces and loses with age. Unlike traditional fillers, SKINVIVE does not add volume or change the shape of your face. It’s designed to improve the quality of your skin itself.

Tiny amounts of HA are placed just beneath the skin’s surface, where they attract and hold water. The result is skin that looks and feels smoother, more hydrated, and naturally radiant, a “glass skin” effect that moisturizers alone can’t reach.

Concierge Medicine

SKINVIVE is a great fit if you:

Notice dull, dry, or rough-feeling skin on your cheeks

Want a healthy glow without looking "done"

Want better skin quality without adding volume

Are preparing for a special event, wedding, or the holidays

SKINVIVE is approved for adults 21 and older.

Who should wait?

SKINVIVE is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of severe allergies or anaphylaxis, are allergic to lidocaine or the proteins used in HA products, or have an active skin infection or cold sore in the area.

What to expect:

1.

Your skin is cleansed and a numbing cream may be applied. SKINVIVE also contains lidocaine for comfort.

2.

A series of tiny injections across the cheeks takes about 15–30 minutes.

3.

Mild redness, swelling, small bumps, or tenderness are common and usually resolve within a week. Bruising is possible.

4.

Most patients return to normal activities right away.

Results:

Skin often looks smoother and more radiant within days as swelling settles. Results can last up to 6 months with one treatment, and an optional touch-up can extend them.

Pairs well with:

Daxxify® for expression lines, xeRF for firmness, microneedling for texture, and a Skinbetter Science or Epicutis routine to maintain hydration.

SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® FAQ

Is SKINVIVE a filler?

It’s in the hyaluronic acid family, but it’s not used for volume. Think of it as hydration delivered beneath the skin, not plumping.

Will my face look different?

Your features won’t change. Your skin will just look healthier and smoother.

How far ahead of an event should I book?

At least 2 weeks before, so any swelling or bruising has time to settle.

How we choose for you?

You won’t be handed a shelf of products. At your consultation or after a treatment, Dr. Sabrina recommends a simple routine (usually 3–4 products) based on your skin, your goals, and your treatment plan.

Skinbetter Science® & Epicutis® FAQ

Can I buy products without a treatment?

Yes. A brief skin consultation helps us recommend the right products for you.

Why not just buy skincare at the store?

Medical-grade products are formulated and tested to clinical standards and often contain active ingredients at levels not available over the counter.

Is this safe during pregnancy?

Some ingredients, like retinoids, are not. Tell us if you’re pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
